The TXT (Teixeira Tech) Can-Am Outlander / Renegade Tie-Rod Kit is designed to be heavy duty OEM replacement. TXT had 3 things in mind when creating these tie-rods: toughest, longest lasting, and highest quality rods on the market. To accomplish this, TXT started with proven 4130 chromoly tubing for the main body. From there, the threads needed to be as strong as possible without having to worry about rust corrosion that could possibly cause the tie-rod ends seizing to the tie-rod threads. TXT decided to use pre heat treated 17-4 stainless steel. Lastly, your tie-rods are only as strong as your weakest part. TXT welded on a hex nut to the outside of the 4130 tubing to make toe adjustment easier rather than cut a slot into your tie-rod which in turn creates a thinner weak spot.
